Local Projects
Our partnership with Egoin brings their wealth of experience and reputation for quality construction to the Bahamian consumer. Here is what’s in the pipeline.
Wendy’s Restaurant | New providence
1,500 sq.ft | wind tolerance: 197 MPH
The familiar exterior finishes conceal the CLT shell of what will be the Bahamas’ first carbon negative restaurant building. This structure will utilize 3, 4 and 5-ply pressure treated CLT panels giving the building a wind tolerance close to 200mph and a fire rating that far exceeds the minimum requirements of the Bahamas Building Code.
Seaside Apartments |new providence
9,600 sq.ft.| wind tolerance: 185+ mph
This development comprises two identical CLT apartment blocks built above a sunken concrete parking level. The short construction schedule enabled by CLT will minimize disturbance to neighbors during the assembly.
commercial offices | new providence
24,500 sq.ft. | wind tolerance: 185+ mph
This project combines office and retail space under one roof. CLT construction will provide the client with a stronger building completed in less than half the time when compared with reinforced concrete.
beachfront home | Great Exuma
3,000 sq.ft. | wind tolerance: 197 mph
This beachfront home is a modern take on traditional Bahamian design principles. The structural properties of CLT allowed the architect to design a completely open plan ground floor free from columns and supports whilst maintaining a 197mph wind rating.
hilltop house | governor’s Harbour, eleuthera
4,500 sq.ft. | wind tolerance: 185+ mph
This hilltop home was designed to blend with the traditional Bahamian homes of Governor’s Harbour. The client was drawn to CLT for its speedy construction schedule and eco-friendly credentials.
beach cottage | Great Exuma
2,000 sq.ft. | wind tolerance: 185+ mph
This waterfront cottage was designed for the vacation rental market. The client selected CLT for its price point and short construction schedule which will significantly reduce the number of loan repayments that become due before the cottage starts to generate revenue.
